At the BeginningThe career as an educator was never my dream growing up. However, some people come into our lives and change it for the better. The doors to education and the world of exceptionalities was then opened to me.
I started my professional journey as a causal educational assistant in the Abbotsford School District in British Columbia. Then, I applied my skills and experiences as a teacher on call. The flexibility and challenge of moving from class to class, school to school was very rewarding. I specialized in Secondary Science and Math, however, I had yet to find my teaching niche. |
Where I Am NowAfter teaching as a math and science teacher at an alternative program for young moms, I found myself coming full circle.
I now teach at Rick Hansen Secondary School as the Resource Room teacher. I am entering my third year working with students with exceptionalities. |
